Swimming

As part of the Junior PE curriculum, our children have the opportunity to attend swimming lessons at Horizon Leisure Centre. Our time slot for swimming is 1:00 pm-2:00pm every Friday. Each class with swim for 30 minutes with trained swim instructors at Horizon. We walk to the leisure centre, so please ensure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing.
Please do not have your child’s ears pierced during the period that they are due to swim, as it usually takes about 6 weeks for them to be able to take their earrings out and this would mean they would be unable to swim.

Pool procedure and expectations
Swimming is part of the national curriculum and is therefore not optional.
o Swimming kit:
o One-piece bathing costume (not bikinis)
