At Trosnant the learning partnership between school and home is recognised as being vital in ensuring all children achieve their best. There is a ‘Home School Agreement’ (as shown below) shared with all new families, which defines the role and responsibilities of parents, children and the school and is available from the main office.
The schools welcome parents into school both formally and informally to support their children’s learning and development which opportunities for family learning where parents and children learn side by side. Alongside this children have a range of home learning activities, of which reading is at the core.
The schools have an ‘open door’ policy, encouraging parents to discuss any worries, concerns, or just to ask questions, with both classroom and senior staff.
