We are pleased to announce the official opening of “The Hut” – a new community facility based on our site. The Hut will be running as a community cafe at the beginning of the school day – initially on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8.30-10.30am, serving hot drinks, toast and crumpets. We will also be trialing being open for a short afternoon session on Wednesdays from 2.30pm until 3.15pm. We will be looking to expand this offer – to the beginnings and end of the school day and with a wider range of refreshments on offer, based on demand.

The Hut will be staffed by Cher and Louise our Family Support Team who will be available for support and advice over a cup of tea or coffee; however it is also available for parents and carers to use as a social space after drop off. 

 

The Hut will also host community events and in due course potentially be available for hire. 

 

The Hut (which has until now been mainly used by the Leigh Park Scout Group and by the school as an additional space) is a Hampshire County Council building and has been refurbished for this project.
